To get to the starting point, take the CG-3 road towards Ordino-Arcalís, until km 18. A few meters away, take the CS-370 road to the parking lot of the Sorteny Valley Natural Park, where you will find the park's information booth. We will leave the parking lot towards the Borda de Sorteny Refuge (refuge at 1,965 m), we will leave the Estripagecs al Vent sculpture and the botanical garden on the right. We will be able to observe the remains of the testimony of economic activities such as livestock farming, with the bordas, dry stone walls and mowing meadows. We cross the Sorteny river and begin to climb towards the Estanyó Strait (passage between the Roc del Rellotge and the Coma Obaga mountain range). We will cross an area of patamuelles and soon after we will arrive at the Estanyó lake (2,340 m), this pond is a fishing reserve where the tortilla fario is located. In summer very often there are cows, horses and some donkey or donkey around the lake. To reach the Peak we will take the path that leads us through the mountain range of Roc del Rellotge (in this Roc you can see the Isards -Rupicapra pyrenaica- early and late in the day) to the Pic de l'Estanyó (2,915 m), the second highest peak in Andorra, after the Pic de Comapedrosa, with 2,946 meters. The Iron Route is part of the Iron Cross-border Itinerary in the Pyrenees, awarded by the Council of Europe.
